Honorable Vincent Subasinghe
Founder of Sadalanka Central School
The founder of our school is Sridara Vincent Subasinghe. His father is Subasingha Athapattu Ralahami and his mother is Mrs. Seelawathi Thelisingha. He has received his basic education from Hendiyagala College. He joined the villagers and engaged in agriculture as a pastime. In the 1936 Gamsabha Election, victory was achieved in the Makadura Constituency. Having traveled to several foreign countries and gained experience, he started the cooperative business.
He passed away on August 24, 1985 at the Sandalanka Hospital which he built himself after spending 80 years.
